It thrills my heart to see that time has only deepened the love of Christ in you, Dave. And it is good to see how death has lost its sting as you rejoice in the life of your sister and her connection to you and your family. Thanks for sharing such a vivid picture of the hope of glory. the painted soulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15969729531931077428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35583920.post-45422145255218007862013-04-28T20:10:20.896-04:002013-04-28T20:10:20.896-04:00I almost read the entire thing to my teenage daugh...I almost read the entire thing to my teenage daughter without a breath. I was anticipating what I would see and get to say next. You see, I am always looking for a connection with her. She struggles everyday. I know she has her "in her own way relationship with God. A few years ago, I was baptised by my sister Diane Ray, then oldest Ashley walked in, then Aubrey. She has no idea the reprocussions of words and actions to others from what she says and does. But while others see her as a challenge, I see myself in her. I wish that she could be blessed with some of the better parts blessed to me, instead of having some of my shortfalls. In this life so many come along that give you the courage to say what needs to be said to our children. Sometimes it comes from anothers beautiful words. Dave you have touched me. I am certain that your sister was as great as you are. I think the ones in the world who have the rougher paths in life, are the ones who can fight the fights, and teach the lessons. Thank you for inspiring us all to once again thank the Lord for our short time. And to hold onto our loved ones even closer. Been with your church since 95, and will never sway from your teachings. Thanks again to God that we are blessed in knowing really great people. We love you. See ya at church. The memories bring her spirit around you when you speak of her, is what I believe. God knows our every step on the path we take. he gives us our destiny, we just make the steps ourselves. Bonnie sounds like a wonderful, loving, giving sister, who like many will and have looked for a deeper meaning to life here on earth. She was put on your path, not just an earthly sister, but a sister in Christ. Your eulogy was beautiful and she left behind, something in you to carry on..which you did! Your words spoke to me, hard this morning. I Love The Lord, and I always knew that you have a gift, a gift that not all Pastors, speakers have. You have all that God has, in His image..you share from your heart and that draws people to you and then to Him. You and your sister were vessels at a young age and he just brought her to fulfillment now. thank you Dave, and Bless you and your family, Love, Rosita and Dan
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03279302642391267355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35583920.post-40476029306354782952013-04-28T07:57:05.065-04:002013-04-28T07:57:05.065-04:00Thank you for sharing your beautiful memories!Thank you for sharing your beautiful memories!Sandranoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35583920.post-14457562137991400072013-04-28T07:23:42.418-04:002013-04-28T07:23:42.418-04:00I'm so sorry for your loss, even though we all...I'm so sorry for your loss, even though we all know Bonnie's now experiencing "unimaginable joy and beauty and health and power".
I remember her when she visited we heathens at the Oakley "Playhouse". And I even remember all of us potheads going to see "the Exorcist".
I't's so cool that you get to turn around those days of our misspent youth into a positive, powerful learning experience.
